Jeffrey Stein, LPI, BAI, CII, CCDI, V.S.M., is a distinguished professional with over 38 years of experience in private investigations, security, security consulting, CCTV, and loss prevention. He is the President and Owner of ELPS Private Detective Agency, where he provides expert witness services, consulting, investigative, and security solutions to attorneys, businesses, the cannabis industry, and private citizens.

As the owner of PA Digital Surveillance Systems, Jeffrey leverages his extensive hands-on and executive-level experience in CCTV and motion detection analysis, conducting in-depth, frame-by-frame evaluations that are pivotal in civil and criminal cases. He holds professional investigator licenses in New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania and is a Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator and Board Accredited Investigator.

Jeffrey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University and has undergone advanced training in interviewing, interrogation techniques, and security risk assessments. His career includes over 3,000 integrity and witness interviews, specializing in criminal defense, personal injury, inadequate security, corporate fraud, white-collar crime, and workplace violence investigations.

His leadership roles extend beyond his agency, serving as the Executive Director of Intellenet, an international network of investigators with over 600 members in 70+ countries. He has also held positions as the Past President and Chairman of the Board for the Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators. Jeffrey’s expertise has been featured on major media platforms, including CNN’s Death Row Stories and the ID Channel, and he is a contributing author to several industry publications.

Jeffrey’s notable projects include directing security for the International JCC Maccabi Games, overseeing security during the decommissioning of large industrial sites, and participating in high-profile legal cases. His certifications include Active Shooter Instructor, SORA Instructor for the New Jersey State Police, and Texas DPS Licensed Continuing Education Instructor.
