Bio

Gordon W. Prince joined Gawthrop Greenwood as an associate attorney shortly after graduating number one in his class at Widener University Delaware Law School in May 2019.
 
He focuses his practice in the firm’s Business Law Department, where he served as a summer associate and supported a broad range of transactional and general business entity matters including the drafting and negotiation of contracts and merger agreements, business compliance with state and federal law, real estate and corporate governance.
 
Gordon recently served on the Delaware Supreme Court as a Wolcott Fellow to Chief Justice Strine, participating first-hand in the adjudication of cases that have a significant impact on the corporate world. In addition, Gordon has spent time as a law clerk in multiple Philadelphia law firms that focused on criminal defense and insurance and subrogation law. As a former Class II patrolman for the Ocean City Police Department who also worked police security detail within the Ocean City Municipal Courthouse, Gordon has gained a unique operational understanding of the law and court system.
 
Before becoming valedictorian at Widener University, Gordon was articles editor of the Widener Law Review, an Academic Success Fellow and dean’s honor recipient every semester. He received the William J. Connor Memorial Award for Administrative Law, Judge J. Cullen Ganey Criminal Procedure Award and was honored by the Transactional Law Honor Society for Best Contract.
 
Gordon is a member of the Chester County Bar Association. A former captain of the Gettysburg College football team, he recently donated his time to coaching youth sports including for the Chester County Crusaders football team. A resident of West Chester, he enjoys walking his dog around town and attending local events.
