Bio

I transform businesses through strategic marketing plans and relationship building. During my kindergarten graduation, the teachers shared what they thought each student would be when they grew up. They were convinced I would be the next Dear Abby and apologized profusely to my parents for knowing more than they should about their personal lives. What my teachers were getting at was my ability to connect and relate. While I’ve certainly gotten better at not divulging anyone’s secrets, I found a way to tell stories by writing non-fiction which I majored in at Franklin and Marshall College. I later received a Master’s in Public Administration from West Chester University, where I gained formal leadership and management training. When I landed my first job as a district representative for an elected official, my writing skills flourished. I was writing executive correspondence, memos, and articles regularly. While I had many duties, one of them was to act as a liaison between the government and our constituents. When someone in the district had a federal issue, they could not resolve on their own, I would communicate with the government on their behalf. To effectively communicate and problem solve, it’s imperative to listen, understand, and empathize. I was fortunate to continue my career in the private sector at Barsz Gowie Amon & Fultz, a full-service accounting firm. I have held various leadership roles, all revolving around people and planning. More recently, I have moved into a marketing director role. I work with staff, clients, and community partners to ensure BGA&F’s brand is reflective of its vision, mission, and goals while building genuine partnerships. I have the privilege of developing strategies, content, and events for BGA&F that resonate and make an impact.
