Before submitting an article, please take the time to carefully read and understand this section. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. MyChesCo does accept guest posts from writers who can provide useful information, unique perspectives, and original commentary. This is a great opportunity for our readers to learn from you. You can inspire, encourage, and challenge our readers while, at the same time, increasing your online authority.
Guest Post Guidelines
PLEASE NOTE: While you may link to your own relevant content, MyChesCo will not accept guest post submissions from copywriters simply looking to exchange content for links, or from writers who include affiliate or business links. MyChesCo is also unable to approve your submission unless you follow the guidelines and instructions on this page.
- Anything that is useful for MyChesCo readers is good content. Keeping in mind this site focuses exclusively on a Chester County audience. Nevertheless, a guest post can be on almost any topic. That said, the focus should be centered on providing good information or original commentary.
- Submissions containing “adult only” material are prohibited.
- Posts may not promote hate, drug use, illegal activity, or acting in violence.
- We read all guest post submissions but the submission of your guest post does not guarantee publication.
- Guest post submissions must be in English.
- MyChesCo does publish syndicated articles. However, a guest post must be original content and not posted elsewhere else on the internet.
- Moreover, if your submission is approved, you agree not to publish the article anywhere else (i.e., in your own blog or as a guest post on other websites).
- MyChesCo Linking Policy
- Your submission, when appropriate, should attempt to link to other posts found on MyChesCo.
- MyChesCo reserves the right to add or remove links before publishing, with or without notice.
- Affiliate links within a guest post submission are strictly forbidden.
- Guest writers may link to their own content within the post, as long as the content conforms to MyChesCo Guest Post Submission Guidelines.
- Posts with excessive external links may be edited before publishing, returned to “Draft” status, or rejected.
- Your guest post should be at least 500 words.
- The submission should include a minimum of 5 paragraphs.
- Longer posts should use subheadings to break up the article. Subheadings are used to create mini posts for those who merely skim—which most people do!
- Commentary and opinion posts should be supported and fact-based.
- Due to time limitations, guest post submissions that do not use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation will likely not be approved.
- Be sure to give your post a catchy or targeted title.
- MyChesCo Photo Policy
- Include at least one high-quality horizontal photo (at least 1280 x 500 in size) as the Featured Image.
- Images that are not your own must fall under Creative Commons “Commercial Use Allowed”, “Fair Use,” or be “Public Domain.”
- Good places to find free photos:
- Nude photos intended to titillate or are pornographic are prohibited.
- Images that are not your own must add the original source in the description field. You may be using an image that is free to use, but we need to verify the license.
- MyChesCo does not pay for guest posts.
- You acknowledge and understand these guidelines are not intended to address every issue or to be all-inclusive. Therefore, additional standards and limitations may apply.
- MyChesCo is the final arbiter of what does and does not violate our guidelines, ALL decisions are final.

On a final note, MyChesCo does not technically pay guest writers for their articles. However, planned future development will include a reward system that gives you the opportunity to win points towards PayPal prizes, gift cards, and other bonuses. When in place, a writer can gain points for people reading their article or when a visitor adds a comment to their content page. So, regular contributors will have the potential of receiving large rewards by crafting quality content and building a following.
What haven’t we covered that is important to you? If you have any question, please contact us. But, if you are all set, you can pitch an article now.
