LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers are ready to make a splash for their 20th year at Clipper Magazine Stadium with a jam-packed summer calendar. Celebrating the unveiling of its new logo and artificial playing surface, the Stormers have chalked out an entertaining mix of familiar and new themes for every home game this season.
Kicking off the 20th Anniversary season on Tuesday, April 30, the Stormers will face the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars, marking the beginning of an exciting season. Fans will be part of a grand celebration honoring all four Atlantic League titles that have come to Clipper Magazine Stadium. Not to forget, fans will receive a mystery championship item at the gates, adding more excitement to the season opener.
Every Saturday, fans can look forward to a dazzling display of fireworks, presented by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health during the 63 home dates. Other weekly features include WellSpan Health Fun Fridays brimming with giveaways and electrifying entertainment.
This season will also bring back the spirit of school pride with 15 school spirit nights featuring schools and districts from Lancaster, Lebanon, and Chester Counties. The schools being recognized for their achievements include Manheim Township, Lampeter-Strasburg, Coatesville, Lancaster Country Day School, and Mount Calvary among others.
Youth sports celebration nights will honor young athletes participating in various sports including Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Swim, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Tennis, Football & Cheerleading.
To keep the excitement rolling, the Stormers have some incredible entertainment acts lined up for WellSpan Health Fun Friday series. Acts like Steve Max, the Tiki Boogie Bros, and Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act will keep the crowds entertained, topped off with a post-game laser light show.
Furthermore, fans should look out for two special jersey auctions early in the season. Proceeds of this charitable act will contribute to the Children’s Miracle Network and other community causes.
The Stormers have also planned theme nights to celebrate various aspects of the community. Fans can expect a Margaritaville-themed Kick-off to Summer Bash, Spanish Heritage Night, Hershey’s Chocolate World Night, National Ice Cream Day, and many more. The Lebanon County Weekend promises a unique spectacle – the first-ever Lebanon Bologna Helicopter Drop for fans.
The regular weekly events are not to be missed as well. Wet Nose Wednesday invites fans to bring their dogs to the ballpark, Thirsty Thursday offers discounted beers, and Superhero Sunday honors local children with different superhero appearances throughout the year.
