LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers have added infielder Kyle Kasser to their ranks, manager Ross Peeples announced this week.

Kasser, a 28-year-old from California, brings a wealth of experience. Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2018 out of the University of Oregon, Kasser spent two years in their farm system. After the pandemic, he joined the Los Angeles Angels and reached Class AAA Salt Lake in 2022, hitting .299 in 22 games.

Last year, Kasser played for Sioux City in the American Association where he batted .278 with two homers and 30 RBIs.

“Kasser is a solid all-around player,” Peeples said. “He’s known for his defense and sprays the ball around offensively. He has a really good baseball IQ and will help us across the board.”

In other news, starting pitchers Brad Markey and Brady Tedesco are on the seven-day injured list. Neither has pitched since early May due to injuries. The Stormers will need Kasser’s versatility as they navigate these setbacks.
