PHILADELPHIA, PA — Maccabi USA is on the lookout for talented Jewish athletes to represent the United States at the 2025 Maccabiah Games in Israel, scheduled from July 1 to July 22, 2025. The organization is currently recruiting participants for various sports, including track and field, cycling, and triathlon.
Athletic categories span several age groups: Under 18 (born 2007-2010), Open (born 2006 or before), and Masters (born 1990 or before). Specific events include U18 and Open track and field, a half marathon, and the Maccabi Run featuring distances from 3K to half marathon. Cycling events will follow UCI regulations and include ITT, road race, track, and XC MTB. Additionally, the Maccabi Man/Woman competition will test athletes across multiple disciplines.
Leading the USA Endurance Delegation are experienced coaches like Jordan Schilit for track and field, Gil Ron for cycling, and Melissa Perlman for the Maccabi Run. Perlman, Commissioner for Endurance Sports, expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting the transformative experience it offers returning and first-time athletes alike.
The Maccabiah Games, held every four years, are the second-largest international sports event globally, featuring over 10,000 athletes from 80 countries competing in more than 40 sports.
