KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has launched a comprehensive resurfacing initiative aimed at enhancing over 200 miles of state highways across Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties. The projects are part of an ongoing effort to repair and pave vital roadways, ensuring safer and smoother travel for motorists.

In Philadelphia, significant work begins with alternating lane closures on Interstate 95, scheduled from October 30 to November 1, between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. These closures, stretching between the Allegheny Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges, will facilitate essential milling and paving activities.

Bucks County will experience weekday closures on Cherry Lane from November 4 to 15, between Route 232 (Second Street Pike) and Township Line Road in Wrightstown. To accommodate this work, traffic will be rerouted via Route 232, Durham Road, and Township Line Road while maintaining local access.

Chester County will see daytime lane closures from October 28 to November 1 for base repair operations. Affected roads include Homeville Road/Cream Road/Scroggy Road, Route 896 (Newark Road), and Street Road at various intersections, among others.

In Montgomery County, Route 309 will undergo overnight left lane closures from October 28 to November 1. The work, occurring between the Paper Mill Road and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges, will focus on raised pavement marker installation.

Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes during these periods. As all operations are subject to weather conditions, staying updated is crucial. For the latest traffic information and updates on these projects, visiting the MyChesCo Traffic Center is highly recommended.
