CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of road resurfacing activities set to commence in Chester County, affecting multiple townships with scheduled lane closures.
Beginning Sunday, November 3, evening work will take place on Devon Road between Spruce Lane and Darby Road across Willistown, Easttown, and Tredyffrin townships. These operations will occur from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, extending through Friday, November 8, with additional daytime closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Simultaneously, Swedesford Road between Church Road and Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) in Tredyffrin Township will undergo similar milling and paving procedures during the same timeframe. In Upper Oxford and Lower Oxford townships, as well as Oxford Borough, base repair work is planned for Homeville Road, Cream Road, and Scroggy Road, leading to closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, November 4 through November 8.
Further impacting traffic, the intersection of Street Road and Homeville Road, alongside Street Road/Township Road between Forge Road and Dalton Road in Lower Oxford, will also see lane closures for essential base repairs during working hours.
Motorists traveling through these areas are advised to plan for potential delays and allow extra time for their commutes. All operations are contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
