WEST BRANDYWINE TWP, PA — Chester County residents, take note: traffic disruptions are on the horizon as Aqua Pennsylvania gears up to undertake water main construction on Route 82 (Manor Road) in West Brandywine Township.
Starting Monday, February 19, and continuing through Saturday, April 13, there will be weekday closures on Route 82 between Hibernia Road and Beaver Creek Road from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Additionally, closures will also take place on Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
During these periods, motorists will need to navigate detours via Hibernia Road and Cedar Knoll Road. While local access will be maintained up to the work zone, drivers traversing or near these areas should anticipate backups and delays, and plan their journeys accordingly.
As always, all scheduled activities are weather-dependent, and the utility company will aim to complete the work as swiftly and efficiently as possible. The project is being completed under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
In the meantime, motorists are being encouraged to exercise patience, plan their routes, and allow extra time when traveling through the affected areas. Safe and smooth travels!
