Utility Construction Alert: PECO Energy Enhancing Infrastructure on U.S. 202 and Route 132, Expect Lane Closures and Plan for Delays

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) in Westtown Township, Chester County, and on Route 132 (Street Road) in Lower Southampton Township, Bucks County.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) at the intersection with Route 926 (Street Road); and
  • Tuesday, July 11, through Friday, July 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 132 (Street Road) in both directions between Stump Road and Buck Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
