Upcoming Verizon Construction on U.S. 30: Prepare for Lane Closures and Traffic Delays

EAT WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Verizon Pennsylvania will begin conduit construction next week on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.

The work schedule and location are:

  • Monday, August 14, through Friday, September 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on eastbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Sproul Road and Route 29 (Morehall Road).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Verizon Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
