Upcoming Utility Work in Chester County May Cause Traffic Delays

Travel Restrictions

TREDYFFRIN TWP, PA — PECO Energy has announced plans for utility construction that will prompt traffic adjustments in Chester County, potentially leading to delays for motorists. Scheduled to start on Monday, May 6, and continue through Friday, May 24, the work will necessitate a weekday lane closure on Valley Road, stretching from Knobb Hill Lane to Bracken Avenue in Tredyffrin Township.

The construction activities, falling within the hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, are designed to minimize disruption during peak travel times. Despite these precautions, travelers are advised to budget extra time for their journeys through or around the impacted areas, as traffic backups and delays are anticipated.

This initiative, carried out under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, forms part of PECO Energy’s ongoing efforts to upgrade and maintain essential utility infrastructure in the region. The lane closure will be managed with flagging operations to facilitate the safe passage of vehicles around the construction zone.

Given the project’s dependency on favorable weather conditions, motorists should remain alert to potential schedule changes. Staying informed about the progress of the work and considering alternative routes where possible can help reduce travel disruptions.
