UPPER UWCHLAN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that pipe replacement is scheduled on Byers Road in Upper Uwchlan Township, Chester County, as part of a project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
The work schedule and location are:
- Thursday, August 10, through Friday, August 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Byers Road will be closed on weekdays between Graphite Mine Road and Township Line Road. During the closure, motorists are directed to use Township Line Road, Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), and Graphite Mine Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100% state funds.
