Traffic Delays Expected on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road for Bridge Work

TREDDYFFRIN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has announced that bridge beam installation will cause significant traffic disruptions on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Chester and Montgomery counties.

From Wednesday, July 17, through Friday, July 19, eastbound U.S. 422 between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 will experience a left lane closure with periodic traffic paces from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. During the same period, westbound U.S. 422 will have a left lane closure from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Further disruptions are scheduled for Monday, July 22, through Tuesday, July 23. Westbound U.S. 422 will again face left lane closures between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Additionally, N. Gulph Road will be restricted to a single southbound lane with flagging between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

More disruptions will occur from Wednesday, July 24, through Friday, July 26. During this time, periodic traffic paces with flagging will affect N. Gulph Road in both directions between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Motorists should exercise caution and prepare for slow or stopped traffic near these work areas. The schedule is weather dependent, and delays are likely.
