Traffic: Construction Activities and Lane Closures on Chester County Highways

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that various construction activities are scheduled on Route 10, Route 29, and other state highways in Chester County.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Monday, July 24, through mid-August, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Charlestown Road between Swiss Lane and Pickering Dam Road in Charlestown Township for high friction surface treatment;
  • Monday, July 24, through mid-August, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Borough Line Road and Crestview Drive in Highland Township for high friction surface treatment;
  • Monday, July 24, through late August, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Road between Bethel Road and Fulmer Road in East Coventry Township for high friction surface treatment;
  • Monday, July 24, through late August, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Whiteford Road between Longwood Drive and Wrights Lane in Uwchlan and West Whiteland townships for high friction surface treatment; and
  • Wednesday, July 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Charlestown Road) between Whitehorse Road and Yellow Springs Road in Charlestown Township for Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
