Roadwork to Impact Chester, Delaware, and Bucks Counties

Traffic alert, expect delays

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that milling and paving operations will take place next week across multiple state highways in Chester, Delaware, and Bucks counties. These efforts are part of an ongoing initiative to maintain and enhance roadway infrastructure in the region.

From Monday, April 7, through Friday, April 11, daily lane closures will affect several roads in Chester County, including portions of Clay Creek Road/Northbank Road, North Creek Road, Corby Road/Pennock Bridge Road, Old Kennett Road/Old Kennett Pike, and Broad Run Road. These closures will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Additionally, Route 291 in Delaware County will experience overnight lane closures between Harrah’s Boulevard and Bartram Avenue from Tuesday, April 8, to Friday, April 11, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Significant detours are planned in Bucks County, where Route 32 (River Road) will be closed between Route 232 (Windy Bush Road) and Aquetong Road in Solebury Township. The closure will run from Monday, April 14, to Friday, April 25, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Drivers will be redirected via Route 232 and Aquetong Road.

Motorists traveling in and around these areas are advised to allow additional time due to potential delays caused by construction and detours. PennDOT emphasizes that all activities are weather dependent and subject to change. Updates will be provided as necessary to keep commuters informed.
