Resurfacing Operations Scheduled: Roadwork Alert in Philadelphia, Chester, and Montgomery Counties!

GREATER PHILADELPHIA — Resurfacing operations are scheduled on several Interstate 76 ramps and other state highways in Philadelphia, Chester, and Montgomery counties, under several Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Greater Philadelphia region.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on the eastbound I-76 ramp to Passyunk Avenue for paving; and
  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on the Passyunk Avenue ramp to westbound I-76 for paving; and
  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled for Bartram Avenue between Island Avenue and Essington Avenue for milling.

Chester County

  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Phoenixville Pike in East Whiteland and Charlestown townships for casting adjustments, milling, and paving.

Montgomery County

  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Swedesford Road between Guthrie Road and Warner Road in Upper Merion Township for paving;
  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Swedeland Road between South Gulph Road and Route 320 (Holstein Road) in Upper Merion Township for utility adjustments and paving;
  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Valley Forge Circle/Moore Road and Allendale Road in Upper Merion Township for utility adjustments and paving;
  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 320 (Swedeland Road/Holstein Road/South Gulph Road) between Route 23 (River Road) and Matsonford Road in Upper Merion Township and Route 320 (Spring Mill Road) between Montgomery Avenue and County Line Road in Lower Merion Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving; and
  • Wednesday, September 6, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Bethesda Church Road/Adams Road/Palm Hill Road between Kutztown Road and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Upper Hanover Township for milling and paving.

Allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns are expected. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
