GREATER PHILADELPHIA — Resurfacing operations are scheduled on Interstate 76 ramps and other state highways in Philadelphia, Chester, and Montgomery counties, under several Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia Region.
The work schedules and locations are:
Philadelphia
- Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Walnut Street between Cobbs Creek Parkway and 33rd Street for prepping;
- Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Castor Avenue between Richmond Street and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) for paving;
- Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on the eastbound I-76 ramp to Passyunk Avenue for line striping;
- Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on the Passyunk Avenue ramp to westbound I-76 for line striping; and
- Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on the 34th Street ramp to westbound I-76 for line striping.
Chester County
- Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled on Gulph Road between County Line Road and Worthington Road in Tredyffrin Township for milling and paving;
- Sunday, September 24, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Phoenixville Pike in East Whiteland and Charlestown townships for paving and casting adjustments; and
- Sunday, September 24, through Thursday, September 28, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for milling.
Montgomery County
- Sunday, September 24, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and Monday, September 25, through Friday. September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Lewis Road between Linfield Trappe Road and Main Street in Royersford and Limerick townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
- Monday, September 25, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Yerger Road between Neiffer Road and Gerloff Road in Lower Frederick Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments; and
- Tuesday, September 26, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Upper Ridge Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and the Bucks County line in Green Lane Borough and Marlborough Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
