CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Maintenance crews from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be addressing deteriorated pavement on several key roadways in Chester County next week, targeting damage caused by the region’s frequent freeze-thaw cycles.

Drivers should anticipate travel restrictions and potential slowdowns as crews work to patch potholes at various locations, including:

  • Route 23 in Schuylkill Township,
  • Route 41 in Avondale Borough,
  • Route 162 in East Bradford Township,
  • Route 252 in Easttown Township, as well as
  • Birchrun Road/Flowing Springs Road in West Vincent Township.

Additional repair sites include:

  • Merlin Road/Yellow Springs Road in Charlestown Township,
  • Old Baltimore Pike in Oxford Borough and surrounding areas, and
