Rail Improvements to Cause Road Closures and Delays in Chester County

Traffic Advisory

POCOPSON TWP, PA — Beginning tomorrow, East Penn Railroad will start rail improvements on Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road) in Chester County, leading to significant traffic disruptions.

From 6:00 PM on Friday, July 12, until 12:00 PM on Monday, July 15, Route 842 will be closed and detoured between Davidson Road and Route 842 (Bridge Road). Drivers should use an alternate route involving Unionville Wawaset Road, Doe Run Road, Unionville Road, Street Road, Lenape Road, Creek Road, and Bridge Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone, ensuring residents can reach their homes. However, motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel, as backups and delays are expected around the construction area.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may change if conditions do not permit work.
