Pipe Replacement to Close Westtown Thornton Road, Expect Traffic Delays

THORNBURY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a scheduled pipe replacement on Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township, Chester County. The road will be closed from Tuesday, May 21, through Friday, May 24, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

The closure spans from Route 926 (Street Road) to Echo Hill Road. During this period, motorists are advised to follow the detour via Route 926 (Street Road), Westtown Road, and Dilworthtown Road. Local access will remain available, but drivers should plan for extra travel time due to expected backups and delays. All activities are contingent on favorable weather conditions as PennDOT undertakes this vital infrastructure improvement.
