SOUTHEASTERN PENNSLYVANIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced scheduled maintenance activities on several state highways in Bucks and Chester counties. Motorists should prepare for road closures and potential delays.
On Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Old Bethlehem Pike will be closed between Route 663 (Broad Street) in Richland, Springfield, and Milford townships, Bucks County, and Linden Street in Lehigh County. This closure is for base repair work. Drivers will need to detour via Route 663 (Broad Street/John Fries Highway) and Allentown Road/Locust Valley Road/Linden Street.
Starting Monday, August 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Kellers Church Road will be closed between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Deep Run Road in Plumstead and Bedminster townships, Bucks County. This closure is for pipe replacement. Motorists should use Route 611 (Easton Road) and Deep Run Road as detours.
From Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Rosedale Road will be closed between Allentown Road and Old Bethlehem Pike in Milford Township, Bucks County. This closure is also for pipe replacement. The detour route will be Allentown Road, Route 663 (John Fries Highway/Broad Street), and Old Bethlehem Pike.
During the same period, Paletown Road will be closed between Route 313 (Doylestown Pike) and Old Bethlehem Pike in Richland Township, Bucks County, for base repair. Drivers should detour via Old Bethlehem Pike/Park Avenue, Route 563 (Ridge Road), and Route 313 (Dublin Pike/Broad Street/Doylestown Pike).
Additionally, on Tuesday, August 6, and Wednesday, August 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Ewing Road will be closed between Route 926 (Street Road) and Route 10 (Limestone Road) in Upper Oxford Township, Chester County. This closure is for pipe replacement. The detour will be Route 926 (Street Road) and Route 10 (Limestone Road).
Local access will be maintained during all closures. However, PennDOT advises drivers to allocate extra travel time as traffic backups and delays are expected. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
