TREDYFFRIN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has disclosed plans for significant nighttime construction activities scheduled to commence next week on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road. This initiative, executed under the aegis of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, aims to widen and enhance bridge infrastructure between mileposts 324-326, affecting Tredyffrin Township in Chester County and Upper Merion Township in Montgomery County.

Beginning Wednesday, September 18, and continuing through Friday, September 20, eastbound U.S. 422 will experience single lane closures between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Concurrently, the westbound direction will undergo similar restrictions from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Additionally, N. Gulph Road will also see lane closures in both directions during the same period, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Motorists are advised to anticipate slow or halted traffic as they approach these work zones. These operations are weather-dependent, necessitating vigilance from commuters to remain updated on any schedule changes.
