Overhead Bridge Work to Cause Lane Closures on U.S. 422

Traffic, lane closed

TREDYFFRIN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that overhead bridge work is scheduled on U.S. 422 in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, and Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. This work is part of a Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission project to widen and improve bridges between mileposts 324-326.

On Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6, from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, a single lane closure with traffic paces will be in effect on eastbound U.S. 422 between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202 for equipment mobilization.

Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching the work areas. The schedule is weather dependent.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
