Motorists Advised to Brace for Delays on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road

TREDYFFRIN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced continued bridge beam installation by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. This will affect traffic on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, and Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.

From today, July 18, to Monday, July 22, eastbound U.S. 422 will see left lane closures and periodic traffic paces between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Westbound U.S. 422 will experience similar disruptions during the same period from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Additional closures are scheduled on Tuesday, July 23, and Wednesday, July 24, for westbound U.S. 422 from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

N. Gulph Road will also face restrictions. From Tuesday, July 23, to Wednesday, July 24, a single southbound lane will be in operation between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM. From Thursday, July 25, to Monday, July 29, periodic traffic paces with flagging are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Motorists are urged to use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic near these work areas. All scheduled activities are subject to weather conditions.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is completing these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
