SCHUYLKILL TWP, PA — PECO Energy is set to begin utility construction on Route 29 (State Road) in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, starting Monday, March 10. The project will require significant road closures, with a detour in place, as construction continues through mid-May.
From March 10 through May 16, Route 29 will be closed to through traffic on weekdays between Pothouse Road and Charlestown Road. The closures will take effect daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this period, motorists will be rerouted via Pothouse Road, White Horse Road, and Route 29 (Morehall Road). Access will remain available to local traffic up to the construction zone.
Travelers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to allow additional time for commutes through the area. PECO advises drivers to be mindful of detour signage and to plan their routes accordingly. All work is weather dependent and schedules may be adjusted in case of inclement conditions.
