Major Road Repairs Coming to Chester County—Expect Delays Next Week!

Road construction

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced plans for base repair work on two state highways in Chester County. The repairs are scheduled from Monday, January 6, through Friday, January 10, 2025, running daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The affected areas include Edenton Road/Ewing Road/Guernsey Road, stretching between Route 896 (Newark Road) and Evergreen Avenue, covering sections of Upper Oxford, Londonderry, Penn, and London Grove townships as well as West Grove Borough. Work will also take place along Daleville Road, between Route 926 (Street Road) and Route 10 (Limestone Road), in West Fallowfield and Londonderry townships.

Motorists traveling through these areas should expect delays and are encouraged to allow additional travel time. PennDOT has stated that all work is weather dependent and subject to possible rescheduling.

These road repairs are part of a larger resurfacing and improvement initiative aimed at enhancing safety and roadway quality. Contractors will focus on repairing, milling, and repaving the highways with new asphalt, sealing the roadways, and ensuring a smoother and safer surface for drivers.

PennDOT advises drivers to exercise caution while navigating through these work zones to ensure safety for all.
