Major Road Closure Alert! Waterloo Avenue Repairs to Disrupt Travel This Wednesday

Traffic Restrictions

EASTTOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has scheduled resurfacing operations on Waterloo Avenue in Easttown Township, Chester County. The work is planned for Wednesday, April 9, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

During this time, Waterloo Avenue will be closed to through traffic between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Berwyn Avenue. Motorists will be directed to a detour route via Berwyn Avenue, Midland Avenue, and U.S. 30. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

PennDOT advises drivers to plan for potential delays and allow extra travel time when near the work area. The resurfacing project involves repairing, milling, and repaving the road with new asphalt designed to improve safety and ensure a smoother driving surface for motorists.

This initiative is part of PennDOT’s ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance roadway conditions for the traveling public.
