Construction Alert: Roadwork on State Highways in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery Counties

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that various construction activities are scheduled on state highways in Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties on Monday, August 7, through Friday, August 11, as part of a project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Lane closure scheduled on Route 611 (Easton Road) between Bristol Road and Kelly Road in Warrington Township, Bucks County, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for resurfacing operations;
  • Lane closure scheduled on Business U.S. 322 (Wilmington Pike) between Yorktown Avenue and Stadium Road in West Chester Borough, Chester County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for resurfacing operations;
  • Lane closure scheduled on Allentown Road between Reinert Road and Forty Foot Road in Towamencin Township, Montgomery County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for curb work;
  • Lane shift scheduled on Haldeman Road/Bergeys Mill Road between Red Fox Run Road and Brandon Lane in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for resurfacing operations;
  • Lane closure scheduled on Ridge Pike between Fern Avenue and Caswell Avenue in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for curb work; and
  • Lane closure is scheduled on Cheltenham Avenue between Paper Mill Road and Cromwell Road in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for paving operations.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
