Travel Restrictions

NEW GARDEN TOWNSHIP, PA — A significant infrastructure upgrade is set to unfold on Baltimore Pike in New Garden Township, Chester County. Comcast has announced a fiber optic cable installation project that, while promising enhanced connectivity in the future, will likely cause traffic disruptions in the present.

From Friday, January 26, through Friday, March 15, weekday work is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on westbound Baltimore Pike between Cedar Spring Road and Buena Vista Drive. The project may also extend to Saturdays if necessary. This work will necessitate a traffic shift, and motorists are advised to anticipate delays.

The prospect of traffic backups during this period is real, and commuters should prepare for potential slowdowns. Allocating extra travel time when passing through the work area is advised. It is essential to remember that all scheduled activities are subject to weather conditions and could be postponed or extended in the case of adverse weather.
