CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a resurfacing project set to begin next week in Chester County. This initiative aims to improve local road conditions and ensure safer travel for motorists.
Starting Monday, July 29, and continuing through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will be in effect on Saint Peters Road. The affected section lies between School Road and Temple Road in Warwick and North Coventry townships. The work involves milling and paving to create a smoother and more durable road surface.
PennDOT advises drivers to plan for extra travel time when passing through these areas. Traffic backups and delays are expected around the work zones. The schedule for these activities is weather dependent.
The project is part of a comprehensive effort to repair, mill, and repave roads with new asphalt, which will provide a safer and smoother ride for all motorists. PennDOT’s contractors are focused on enhancing the infrastructure to ensure long-term benefits for the community.
