Bridge Inspections: I-95 and Major Highways in Philadelphia, Chester Counties Next Week

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that bridge inspections are scheduled next week on Interstate 95 and other state highways in Philadelphia and Chester counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 at the Walt Whitman Bridge/Packer Avenue Interchange; and
  • Tuesday, October 24, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Walt Whitman Bridge/Packer Avenue Interchange.

Chester County

  • Monday, October 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on the Route 113 (Black Rock Road) bridge over the Schuylkill River in Phoenixville Borough; and
  • Tuesday, October 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Gay Street) between Bridge Street and Vanderslice Street in Phoenixville Borough.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
