Attention Easttown Drivers! Major Waterloo Avenue Closure Next Week – Expect Delays and Plan Your Route!

Road Closed

EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that resurfacing operations will require the temporary closure of Waterloo Avenue in Easttown Township, Chester County.

The closures are scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, and Wednesday, April 9, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. During these hours, Waterloo Avenue will be closed between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Berwyn Avenue. Motorists will be directed to follow a detour route utilizing Berwyn Avenue, Midland Avenue, and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue). Local access will be maintained up to the active work zone.

These efforts are part of PennDOT’s broader resurfacing and improvement initiative aimed at enhancing roadway conditions across the region. Contractors will repair, mill, and repave state highways with new asphalt to provide a safer, smoother driving experience for the public.

Drivers are advised to allow additional travel time and proceed with caution near the work area, as delays and backups are expected. All planned activities are contingent on favorable weather and may be rescheduled as needed.
