WEST CHESTER, PA — The Fund for Women and Girls is set to launch its Empower Her Vote initiative. This initiative kick-off will coincide with a rededication event at the “100 Years” mural depicting the powerful journey of the Women’s Suffrage movement.

The event takes place on Thursday, March 28, at the mural site located at 119 E. Market Street, West Chester. The Fund for Women and Girls invites all community members to attend and participate in this historic occasion.

The “100 Years” mural, originally created by Kendra Beitzel, commemorates the centennial of women’s right to vote. Its rededication symbolizes the ongoing commitment to empowering women, girls, and individuals with lived female experience in our society.

Several esteemed organizations and individuals will be present at the event. These include #ourvoiceshouldbeheard – an action team of Black Women of Chester County in Action, Jahnavi Rao from New Voters, and representatives from the League of Women Voters of Chester County. Also gracing the event will be Mayor Lillian DeBaptiste, Representative Chris Pielli, and County Commissioner Chair, Josh Maxwell.

Following the rededication ceremony, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in voter education and registration activities. The Fund’s nonpartisan nonprofit partners will provide crucial voter information and resources, fostering informed participation in the democratic process.

The Empower Her Vote initiative aims to amplify the voices of women from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities. By promoting active engagement in the democratic process, it seeks to foster a more equitable and just society.

The Fund for Women and Girls encourages all community members to join this event. While registration is not mandatory, it is appreciated.
