WEST CHESTER, PA — Twenty-three West Chester area restaurants and businesses have joined forces to support the Chester County Food Bank and the West Chester Food Cupboard after the Chester County Food Bank suffered a $250,000 loss in federal USDA funding through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). This effort aims to fill the gap left by the canceled food order, which provided supplies for vulnerable families across the region.

The grassroots food and fund drive highlights the critical role of these organizations in addressing food insecurity. Stephanie Gray of Kildare’s Irish Pub, one of the drive’s key organizers, emphasized the community’s strength, stating, “This isn’t just about food—it’s about community. When I heard about this issue, I knew we had to do something. The response from local restaurants and neighbors has been overwhelming in the best way. West Chester always shows up for each other.”
