GREATER PHILADELPHIA AREA — On Thursday, April 24, The Wardrobe will host its LGBTQ+ Open Wardrobe and Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing free clothing, resources, and support to members of the LGBTQ+ community across four locations.

The Open Wardrobe series offers free clothing to specific populations each month, allowing participants to “shop” alongside their peers while gaining access to educational workshops, resource tables, and exclusive apparel. This month’s event will take place at The Wardrobe’s locations in Upper Darby, Kennett Square, Philadelphia, and Exton Square Mall.

A key component of the day is the panel discussion, “The Cost of Authenticity,” held at the Philadelphia location. This session will explore how identity, confidence, and perception intersect within LGBTQ+ communities. Moderated by Persephone Ulysses, The Wardrobe’s Education & Coaching Coordinator, the panel will feature prominent community figures including Icon Ebony Fierce of Galaei, Daniel De Jesus of AMLA at Esperanza, Hazel Edwards of the TINGS Program at Galaei, and Rosko Scott from The Attic Youth Center.

The event underscores The Wardrobe’s commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and community support through its monthly initiatives. For those attending, RSVP at wardrobepa.org/open-wardrobe.
