OXFORD, PA — In a case that has captured the attention of the Oxford community, Nicole Allen, 42, was apprehended by the Oxford Police on September 11, 2024, following an extensive investigation into alleged financial misconduct involving a youth softball team. The investigation also implicates her husband, James “Rudy” Allen, 50, in these alleged activities.

The inquiry began in April 2022 after several individuals reported that donations intended for the youth softball team had seemingly been misappropriated. James Allen, responsible for managing these funds, was entrusted with purchasing equipment and covering essential operational fees for the team. Allegations suggest that he diverted over $6,000 of these funds, which came from various sources, including cash, checks, and digital payments.

The funds were meant to benefit the team through fundraisers held at Oxford Redman’s Hall in September 2021 and March 2022. Despite attempts by authorities to interview James Allen throughout the investigation, he reportedly failed to respond to a demand letter from the victims.

On April 23, 2024, an arrest warrant for James Allen was issued, resulting in his apprehension a day later at an event at Oxford High School. He was subsequently processed and detained at Chester County Prison, with assistance from the Oxford Area School District Police.

Nicole Allen’s recent arrest highlights the ongoing nature of the investigation. The charges faced by the Allens include theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy. It is imperative to note that these charges are allegations, and both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
