Wilmington Man Arrested on Drug Charges

WILMINGTON, DE — A 31-year-old Wilmington man has been arrested on drug-related charges following an operation conducted by Wilmington’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division.

The arrest took place at approximately 11:20 a.m. on March 5, 2025, in the 1700 block of North Locust Street. According to authorities, officers observed a man involved in suspected drug activity. The individual, identified as Rashad Walker, was taken into custody without incident.

During the investigation, officers reportedly found Walker in possession of 14 grams of marijuana and 1.36 grams of crack cocaine. Walker has since been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

Walker was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and is currently being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $20,000 cash-only bail.

Officials remind the public that all allegations remain under investigation and that Walker is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
