West Chester Police: Arrest Made Following Fight and Property Damage Allegations

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man after an altercation on South Worthington Street.

Carlos Ramirez-Carpinteyro has been charged with Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief, and Theft by Unlawful Taking.

The criminal complaint alleges that on July 24, 2023, at 10:20 PM, officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of South Worthington Street in West Chester, PA for a report of a fight. As a result of an investigation, 27-year-old Carlos Ramirez-Carpinteyro of West Chester was taken into custody. Ramirez-Carpinteyro had allegedly assaulted another subject and damaged property. Ramirez-Carpinteyro was arrested without incident.

A preliminary hearing at Chester County Magisterial District Court 15-1-04 is pending.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
