WEST CHESTER, PA — On October 7, 2023, West Chester Police Department officers were dispatched to the Giant store located at 698 Downingtown Pike following a report of retail theft. The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers identified the suspect as Mahmoud Gudarzi, a 35-year-old man from Quakertown, Pennsylvania. The initial investigation on the scene revealed that Gudarzi had allegedly taken merchandise from the store without making any payment.

West Chester Police promptly took Gudarzi into custody. He now faces charges of retail theft. Details regarding the specific merchandise involved in the alleged theft have not been released.
