WEST CHESTER, PA — County Court of Common Pleas Judge Patrick Carmody this week sentenced 40-year-old Luis Aguilar Dircio of West Chester to 25-50 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a child from the ages of 7 to 10 years old. The defendant was convicted by a jury of aggravated indecent assault of a child, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with minors, and related charges on April 14, 2023.
According to the information resented in court, on April 9, 2021, the 10-year-old victim reported that the defendant sexually assaulted her on at least seven separate occasions from April 2018-April 2021. She stated that the sexual assaults began when she was 7 years old.

The defendant had paid for the victim and her mother to come to the United States from Honduras in April 2018. She stated that twelve days after she arrived, the defendant began to sexually abuse her at a residence in West Goshen Township.

The victim said that the defendant touched private parts on multiple occasions while her mother was asleep or at work. She also stated that the defendant had sent her nude images of himself multiple times. Police learned that the defendant had threatened the child by telling her he was going to kill the victim’s father if the abuse was reported to law enforcement.

“The defendant deprived this child of a normal childhood by engaging in an unconscionable pattern of sexual abuse. Instead of feeling safe in her own home, the defendant violated his duty of protection and manipulated her by threatening the life of her father if she reported the abuse,” stated Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan. “We are grateful to the West Goshen Police Department and the Chester County Detectives for their thorough investigation, and to our prosecutors for helping the victim and her family get justice.”
