WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Police Department has filed charges against a local man following an altercation that took place in the early hours of October 8, 2023. The accused, Higinio Cruz-Quinones, a 40-year-old resident of West Chester, was found to be in possession of a firearm during the incident.
The alleged altercation occurred in the 50 block of W Gay Street around 1:00 AM. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Cruz-Quinones, a convicted felon, is legally prohibited from carrying a firearm in the state of Pennsylvania.
Cruz-Quinones now faces multiple weapons violation charges, including:
- One count of Persons Not to Possess
- One count of Firearms Not to Be Carried Without License
- One count of Possessing Instruments of Crime
The West Chester Police Department has reported that a preliminary hearing for Cruz-Quinones is pending at District Court 15-1-01. The case has been assigned the report ID# WC-23-31293.
