West Chester Man Arrested for Vehicle Break-In

WEST CHESTER, PA — In the early hours of September 27, 2023, West Chester police responded to a reported vehicle break-in on the 50 Block of South Matlack Street. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Paul Geary of West Chester, was arrested on multiple charges following an investigation.

The incident began at approximately 12:55 AM when local officers were dispatched to the scene following a report of a person breaking into a vehicle. Upon arrival, they embarked on a thorough investigation which led to the identification and apprehension of Geary.

Following his arrest, Geary was transported to the Chester County Prison for arraignment.

A preliminary hearing for Geary is pending at District Court 15-1-04.

Geary is currently facing one count each of possession of an instrument of a crime, theft from a motor vehicle, and criminal mischief. If convicted, these charges could result in significant penalties, including fines and incarceration.
