West Chester Man Arrested for Retail Thefts Totaling Over $2,500 at Local CVS

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department has arrested a man from West Chester, Pennsylvania, following two instances of retail theft at a local CVS store in Thornbury Township.

Tomasz Kowalski, 33, was apprehended on October 28, 2023, after an alert patrol officer spotted him in the parking lot of the CVS, located in the 1200 block of Wilmington Pike.

The arrest followed two separate police dispatches to the CVS for retail theft. The first occurred on September 25, 2023, where Kowalski was identified as the suspect who allegedly stole $880.27 worth of merchandise, including Canon and HP printer ink cartridges and Dove soap. An arrest warrant was issued following this incident.

Exactly one month later, on October 25, 2023, the police department was again dispatched to the CVS for another retail theft. An investigation found that Kowalski had once again allegedly stolen merchandise, this time amounting to $1,648.24. The stolen items included Canon and HP printer ink cartridges among other merchandise.

Following his arrest, Kowalski has been charged with both retail thefts, totaling $2,528.51 worth of stolen merchandise. Additionally, he faces charges for driving while under DUI suspension.

  • Receiving Stolen Property
  • Possessing Instruments of Crime
  • Driving While Suspended DUI

The case is currently under active investigation, with the police report ID# WE-23-18838.
