According to the West Chester Police Department, at approximately 9:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the scene of the alleged incident, which occurred on the 400 block of Sharpless Street. Upon arrival, they launched an investigation into the matter.
The suspect, identified as Cooper Rutherfurd, allegedly assaulted another individual at the location. After a thorough investigation, police took Rutherfurd into custody. He was subsequently charged with simple assault, a misdemeanor offense that involves knowingly causing bodily injury to another person.
