KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Square Police Department has announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Juan Castro-Fernandez following a suspicious incident reported in November last year. Castro-Fernandez faces charges of stalking and harassment tied to allegations involving the creation of a fake social media account.

On November 4, 2023, at approximately 3:42 a.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of Juniper Street in response to reports of two men loitering outside a woman’s residence under dubious circumstances. The men claimed they were there to “see the lady” of the house. However, upon speaking with the woman, officers learned she did not recognize the men. She disclosed concerns about an ex-boyfriend, identified as Castro-Fernandez, who allegedly had made a fake social media account impersonating her.

Investigations revealed conversations initiated through this false Facebook account on the mobile devices of the men present at the scene. Following extensive inquiries and multiple search warrants, authorities filed a criminal complaint against Castro-Fernandez, charging him with stalking and harassment.

The case is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing, and law enforcement officials are actively seeking information regarding Castro-Fernandez’s whereabouts. The Kennett Square Police Department urges anyone with knowledge about the situation to come forward and contact them directly at 610-444-0501 or submit a tip online.

However, it is crucial to remember that the issuance of an arrest warrant, a criminal complaint, or any form of legal action does not constitute proof of guilt. Juan Castro-Fernandez, like all individuals accused of a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
