Update to Joint Investigation into Suspicious Death and Fire in Chester Springs

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — Chester County Detectives and West Vincent Township Police Department are investigating a suspicious death and fire by the south side of the 2300 Block of Eagle Farm Road, Chester Springs, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2023. The deceased person has not yet been identified.

The decedent is a male who appears to be of Hispanic descent, estimated to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’2” tall and 152 lbs. His hair is black, buzzed cut on the sides and 3 to 4 inches long on top. His hairline is slightly receding. He has a short black mustache and goatee. He has brown eyes and black eyebrows. There are no distinguishing scars, marks, tattoos, or jewelry. An oval pendant approximately 3/4-inch X 5/8-inch depicting the color image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was found adjacent to the body.

He was dressed in dark color pants and a red Alberto Cardinali shirt bearing the logos and vertical red, white and blue zipper depicted in the attached photograph on the left breast below the shoulder.

Police are asking that anyone with information, including anyone who observed any people or vehicles along that road between 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., to contact Det. Robert Balchunis at 610-344-5341 or West Vincent Township Police at 610-458-3205.
