WILMINGTON, DE — Authorities in Wilmington are investigating a shooting incident that led to the death of one teenager and left another critically injured.

The incident occurred on Monday, December 30, 2024, at approximately 8:02 p.m. in the 2300 block of North Carter Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds.

A 15-year-old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The second victim, a 16-year-old, was also transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and police have not released further details about potential suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
