PARKESBURG, PA — A routine traffic stop on the morning of April 30, 2024, ended with the arrest of 56-year-old Michael F. Denithorne, after he was identified as a fugitive from justice, according to the Parkesburg Borough Police Department.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:32 AM in the 100 block of North Church Street. During the stop, officers determined that Denithorne was sought in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, on undisclosed charges.

Following the identification, Denithorne was taken into custody without incident and subsequently remanded to the Chester County Prison, where he awaits extradition to Carbon County to address the pending charges against him.

The police department has not released further details regarding the nature of the charges awaiting Denithorne in Carbon County.

It is important to remember that an arrest for being a fugitive from justice does not presume guilt for the underlying charges. Denithorne, like all individuals in the criminal justice system, is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
